The Just shall live by Faith                    

   A word: Dear reader, these studies are neither "teachings" nor "doctrines". You are welcome to go through them for anything beneficial. They are "off the cuff", if you will, and are quickly typed and gone through once again to lessen mistakes. They do not reflect on my books which have had many years work expended upon them.

    You need not be a regular Bible reader, though my underlying purpose is to motivate you to become one even as the Lord gains your attention in emphasizing something to you. If you want to get into the Bible more (and not just into "specialized" scriptures) then here is your chance and I do all of the work for you verse by verse. Essentially you will be looking over my shoulder as I study for myself (and then I add some of my studies...as the Lord leads...to this list after Barbara has proof read them). I do not take requests, but many of the topics below will interest you, and in going through a passage with me you will catch on to my process. My years of study have resulted in knowledge and you will gain from that, but your primary purpose will be to see if the Lord has something for you, even in our troubling times.

Moreover, these studies usually will not have a main theme. Often for my personal studies I simply open the Bible at random. Sometimes I find something interesting and the usual process is to proceed verse by verse. Sometimes it leads to a study which I place in the list below. Bible verses often do not explain the verse preceding them and sometimes do not explain the verses following; therefore, if a little treasure is discovered then I may comment on it even if it is not necessarily in keeping with the main thought of the passage.

    Therefore, the way to read along is simply to take in verse by verse and think about each, and then perhaps think about what I might have said (or not...agreement with me is not essential) and then let these things gather in your brain like marbles. When you are through, you can disregard the marbles or allow them to rattle around for awhile...and hopefully you might be spurred on to do more marble collecting on your own. Nevertheless, know that the Great Helper is the One who honors His child as the child pokes through and around in the Precious Word.

    I do not have the time to both study, do my other work, and at the same time make these studies clear, concise, and organized into a teaching upon a particular subject so that the reader can then completely wrap his mind around it. These studies are not meant to create mental or doctrinal concepts. They are for storing away God's words in the innerman so that later He might bring them up for His purpose in you and in me. I do what I do because I love my Bible, and even more I love the Author of my Bible.

    These studies can be read on their own pages or downloaded as .pdf files. In either case they can be printed for studying later and sharing with others. Indeed, just lately a pastor of several home churches in Kenya has made contact with me and is using them as study materials in the church groups. Also you can give feedback by email (see above).

As you join Barbara and me you are part of our growing friends in the Lord and we hope to encourage Biblical faith amid the brethren.     Our website is on the first or second pages of many Bible-topic searches in Google...which in turn continues to grow our number of visitors by means of browser searches. Nevertheless, about 70% of our visitors arrive by way of having our website address passed on to them by friends, or they have already visited us and bookmarked pages and returned. We trust that many of your favorite websites will recognize us and include links to us on those sites.
