Cowboy watching grandpa
win the Packhorse Race
Welcome
to our
area of Wyoming - and the little town on
Dubois. I have a
friend at the Chamber of Commerce who can send to you a
Package of information. We are surrounded on three sides (west, north,
and south) by the Shoshone National Forest, and the territory
north and south of the Forest are designated Wildernesses. Ten miles
east
of town is the large Wind River Indian Reservation within which are the
cities of Riverton and Lander. A number of Indian towns exist withing
the bounds.
I just found out
(December 2010) that
our town is rated 2nd our of 10 western towns that "best keep the
spirit of the west" going. True West magazine in its January
2010 issue has these towns listed and described. You
can read about
us there.
Below is a list of subject matter that can be placed in a package and
mailed free to you. We are proud of our Rocky
Mountain region and of our little town. You can see something of our town here and you
can begin to see some of the mountains and terrain around us by going
to
Wyoming Photos (see above).
