Press: Our Website Monthly Statistics
These
stats are offered to keep our regular visitors informed of our
building progress on the Internet. In late May, 2008 we began
learning how to develop and continued developing this website
for
several month, then expanding it, and continued learning. When it was
apparent that having a website and people finding a website are two
different things, we thought of advertising, but with nothing to sell
on the site and not wanting it to become commercial by earning
money by ads on our site, the only recourse was to
find out
how to increase our presence on search-result pages on Google, Yahoo,
Ask, etc. Some months and some expense was spent on this
and the
labor of it is ongoing. I watched our statistics and observed some
growth as a few people were finding us, but the stats are compiled on a
monthly basis and in 2008 I did not copy them as there was little to
compare month by month.
However,
increasingly in December 2008
people were finding us and by the end of the month 72 people had found
us (searching the net and by word of mouth) and 90% of them
(an
average) liked our site enough to bookmark one or more pages. See
directly below the stats of each month beginning in January. For 2009 I
am going
to try to remember at the end of each month to download the statistics
so that you can view them below.
